Carishala are found amongst many of the peoples of Somewhere Else, and it is unclear who were the original inventors of carishala. It is thought that they are among the oldest kinds of pottery and yet they are still extensively used into later times. They are especially popular among the epitomous [[Lorebook: Hajyiik|Hajyiik]] clan of [[Lorebook: Ruktruun|Ruktruun]] in the high mountains of [[Atlas: Taurikip|Taurikip]], but they can also be found in the deserts amongst the dwellers there and in the far river lowlands. The relative ease of procurement for materials for them and production of them contributes to their widespreadness.
