The Teakani or Dakani are a form of People relating relatively closely to the Original Folk. They are extremely diverse within, being represented by many different appearances, and are composed of many different cultures such that their identity lies much stronger with their individual culture or homeland than with being Teakani.
For example, as regards appearance mid-olive, dark grey, blue and violet are all known and common shades of their skin, and there are Teakani with curly hair, wavy hair, straight hair, and even threadhair. Many have freckles, and for some they glow, while many have no freckles at all. Some Teakani groups/cultures are relatively monolithic and easily recognizable in appearance (most having the same shade of skin and shared features, for example) while others are greatly heterogeneous.
As regards culture, the Teakani are spread all throughout Karamay and vary greatly in customs and perspectives. They do not have a unique common uniting force behind them beyond their shared heritage and composition.
