They and the Pahmsruun at some point split, with mostly-friendly disputes continuing to today regarding who split from who. They both were known for their diplomacy and positive relations with other cultures, but the Pahmsruun maintain a more shared core identity and continue to appear more physically similar to the Ruktruun while the Palruuni, alongside the similarly diverse Teakani, are arguably the most diverse form of People in [[Atlas: Qaramay|Karamay]], and their identities tend to be tied much more to their culture or historical homelands than to their being Palruuni. It is believed that the ancestors of they and the Pahmsruun set sail on the river that flows down from Mount Taurikip and followed it all the way down to the sea, colonizing the lands along the way as well as founding a capital in the New World. They and the Pahmsruun at some point split, with mostly-friendly disputes continuing to today regarding who split from who.
