Qoroni are animable figures of stone that can help or harm People. They follow the signals sent through their pilots' signalstone to the signalstone composing part of their bodies. Generally, this can only mean carrying out basic locomotive motions (like walking, crouching, extending appendages, etc.), but old folk tales of uncertain veracity tell of Qoroni who were capable of more autonomous work and on occasion seemed to disobey their pilots. One thing is understood - the Qoroni do not have minds of their own and instead follow signals sent (generally simply through signalstone) to them by their pilots. Some wonder if the Qoroni in those folk tales were somehow following the subconsciouses of their pilots rather than merely their consciouses, explaining the difference in their actions.
