The Qualruun, or Original People, were those People created by the All-Creator at Creation. They were originally created to together cultivate, develop, steward, and thus "rule" over the rest of the Creation with and under the All-Creator as core to their Work. They are the ancestors and forerunners of the other people forms and all people forms are thus connected through them.
