Lorebook: Syriv

The Syriv are a form of People whose bodies are hard, composed of firmer elements than most People's. They are customarily of silver, red-brown (ruddy), or green tones. Their appendages are shaped slightly different than the Original Folk's. Inside (and for some, outside) their bodies are a special kind of Florauna that photosynthesize and feed them, leading them to not need to eat as long as they are connected to the outside, though they are still known to like Sugar(s). Despite their hard exteriors, they aren't known for being particularly coarser than most forms of People. Certain groups of them are rumored to live in the water, either amphibiously or permanently.

For the Syriv of the Brushlands, it's said that their ruling Council are buried in such a manner that from their remains grow the very trees people live in.
