Lorebook: Vashaviin

The Vashaviin are a form of People relating distantly to the Original Folk (one of The Isolated). Their ancestors were the first to successfully settle The Far Side of The World, and they were isolated there from most People for various epochs, though they did not forget from where they came. Their culture there, ruled from high in the mountains down to those rolling hills filled with wild Florauna found only on The Far Side, is famous for its structural integrity. Almost all Vashaviin consider themselves part of the same ruling clan (which is itself divided into families of different careers) and obey the same leaders. Some of the greatest feats of architecture, from great castles to theaters and more, were built by the Vashaviin, and the society of The Far Side of the World is notorious for its incredible self-sufficiency and success. Up until re-contact with Pahmsruun explorers, the Vashaviin maintained their own systems for everything and still managed to thrive. Now, their banks and arts and education continue to be top-of-the-line. They welcomed the introduction of People from other parts of the world when they were re-contacted with them, with the exception of two major cities which allow People from other regions to live only via invitation or special dispensation. They are also likewise now found throughout Somewhere Else, though their greatest numbers continue to be on The Far Side.
